Security cameras in the Ate district of Lima, the capital of Peru, recorded an impressive scene in the early hours of this Saturday (03/08/2025): a man was run over by a freight train and survived without major injuries.

The images show that the victim was resting his head on the tracks and, when he was hit, his body was displaced. A few meters later, the train, which was already traveling at a slower speed, stopped and he got up on his own.

Witnesses who were passing by at the time of the accident ran to help him and called for help. Limping, he sat on the curb of the street and waited for the ambulance, which took him to a nearby hospital.

According to the local press, an authority said that the man was 28 years old and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

The man survived with only injuries to two fingers on his left hand.
